The Dance of Death

by August Strindberg
Translated by Evert Springchorn
Directed by Damon Bonetti

Honorary Producer: Louis Bluver

Regarding Our Season and COVID-19
We have made the difficult decision to postpone our upcoming production of Strindberg’s The Dance of Death. We have plans to bring this show back in the future. Please stay tuned.

A husband and wife with a rocky marriage approach their 25th wedding anniversary. Living isolated on an island, their vitriol towards each other forces their own children to take sides. When a cousin comes to visit, plots are hatched and untoward alliances forged. A psychological comedy about the unfairness of divorce, child custody and the mayhem of marriage, this is pure Strindberg at his emotionally wracked, brilliant best.
