In Memoriam
In Memory of Carrie Gorn
We at the PAC and all of the Philadelphia Theatre community are saddened to learn of the sudden passing of Carrie Gorn.
Carrie was the first publicist the PAC ever worked with. We had largely been self promoters, but in 2014 we produced our largest production to date of Federico Garcia Lorca's BLOOD WEDDING. Carrie came on board and taught us theatre kids the ropes of how to market a show. She was expert, warm, curious, fun, and kind. Even though that was our only time working with her at PAC, all of us here have worked with her at other theatre companies and festivals. The loss to the community is deep, and will be felt for a long time. Our hearts go out to her family and friends that loved her and knew her best. |
In Memory of Clifford Pearlman
Clifford Pearlman passed away peacefully on August 1, 2024. He was a social entrepreneur and changemaker, a creative innovator and leader, a passionate athlete and artist, and a loving father and husband. He was a devoted friend to The PAC and Honorary Producer for our 2022 production of WINE IN THE WILDERNESS. We'll miss his enthusiasm, spirit and his belief in the power of theatre.

In Loving Memory of Kate McLenigan Altman
“Be merciful; divide me not so soon
From my most faithful one, from my friend. She bore me in her arms quite through this life, Let her gently lead me to my death.” – Friedrich Schiller, Mary Stuart In the late evening of June 6, 2019, Kate McLenigan Altman passed quietly into eternity. Those who knew her best will remember her loyalty, sparkling humor and profound dedication. Kate was a quiet cornerstone of the PAC’s Mary Stuart, embodying the figure of a watchful, steadfast friend. It was more than a performance; it was a gentle extension of her marvelous spirit. She could still any room, calm any storm, and lead us all in laughter. We hold her family, and her closest friends in the light. “In all external grace you have some part, But you like none, none you, for constant heart.” – William Shakespeare, Sonnet 53 |
