The Captive

by Edouard Bordet
Directed by Dan Hodge
September 1 - 20, 2015
Presented in the Philadelphia Fringe Festival

Irene is unhappy. Her quiet devastation sparks a chain of events that will shake the foundations of her otherwise tidy world. Deeply controversial in its time, productions of this 1926 play were censored, and its producers and actors jailed. In a return to site-specific work (Creditors, The Sea Plays,) the PAC presents this well-mannered tragedy in Society Hill's historic Physick House.
