Return of the Prodigal Blog

And we're back.

For those of you who might not have known, we blogged steadily throughout our first production of DUCHESS OF MALFI, and throughout our reading series that first year.

But then we got busy. Busy with stuff like adding Katherine Fritz, our fifth PAC member, to the team.  Busy with stuff like elaborate onstage wedding proposals - Dan's gonna make an honest woman out of Krista this December. With stuff like, you know, giving birth. Charlotte and Damon are the proud parents of the cutest baby Bonetti you've ever seen in your entire life.

And somewhere in there, we found time to: redesign the website, apply for some grants, expand our Venture Reading Series at Broad Street Ministry, mount our largest full-scale production to date of CHANGES OF HEART, fall down exhausted, get back up, mount our fringe festival hit CREDITORS, and plan our new acting apprentice program. We also dedicated some solid hours to eating, sleeping, breathing, playing with the baby, and tackling other jobs and projects that excite us. So -- we are really, really sorry if any of you wanted to know more behind-the-scenes stuff from the last year or so, and we just got too busy and forgot to write. Truly.

But here's the good stuff - we're leaping into a really exciting year, and we want to start blogging again so that more of you can experience it with us. We're jumping into our Venture Readings this year with some amazing plays - THE CRITIC and THE COUNTRY WIFE. We're already dreaming about our full-length production of TIMON OF ATHENS, starring the amazing Chris Coucill in the title role. Just yesterday, we finished our second full day of auditions for our new Acting Apprentice Program, and we can't wait to launch it officially. (And boy, do we have some tough calls to make - so many talented, capable young actors walked through the door and delivered dynamite monologues and smart personal stories about why classical work speaks to them).

Most of all, we've been so thrilled to produce work that speaks to us, and delighted that more and more of you are taking time from your lives to come see it. We've had a great time bringing these stories to life and sharing them with you. We hope that you'll continue to come hear us tell them. Suggestions, hellos, and comments all welcome. Drop us a line sometime. We'd love to hear from you. (And we promise, we won't forget that we started a blog this time).

Till next time -

Dan, Damon, Krista, Charlotte, and Fritzy

ps: If anyone wants to revisit some of our thoughts from back when, it's all archived at http://allthingstopac.blogspot.com. But this is our new permanent home. So check back for all the good stuff to come!

    Welcome.

Thanks for reading the PAC blog, where we share what's happening behind the scenes, what we're thinking about this week, and what classic stories are inspiring us right now.
