the philadelphia artists' collective acting apprentice program

Attention: The deadline for submissions for the 2013 - 2014 Acting Apprenticeship has passed. Thank you. If you are interested in submissions for the 2014-2015 Acting Apprenticeship, please feel free to contact us directly or check back in the spring.
We are proud to announce the return of the PAC Acting Apprentice Program, after our first successful implementation last season. This program is designed to foster young artists at the beginning of their careers and help shape young performers into well-rounded, classically trained actors.
Please note that while this is a primarily a performance opportunity, any interest in other areas, such as design, directing, and management, will be taken into consideration. Apprentices are selected by an audition process, as well as by careful review of application letters and resumes. The number of apprentices will vary yearly based upon the particular needs of the company each season.
Apprentices will:
- Rehearse and perform in MARY STUART and work alongside local and regional professionals;
- Participate in three evening Classical Acting Workshops;
- Provide 30-40 hours of pre-production assistance in marketing, box office, and technical capacities, according to their skills and interests, as needed throughout the season.
We believe that Philadelphia is a vibrant, exciting city that is rapidly gaining national and international acclaim for its dynamic arts community, and believe young artists are a critical part of this growth. This unpaid apprenticeship offers guaranteed performance opportunities as well as the chance to be part of an exciting new phase of development in one of the region's most promising new companies.
